Thames Street - Weybridge

We spent the sunny month of June working for a London cabby on his lovely property in Weybridge. The existing roof had some rather tired looking Welsh slates and working with a budget the customer opted to have artificial slates fitted. We completely stripped the old roof right down to its rafters before installing breathable felt, fascia vents and upvc felt support trays.

Artificial slates form a complete seal once fitted and as such the roof required a counter batten system with vented slates which allowed natural air flow fed by the fascia vents. The air flow creates a vacuum which is great for keeping the house warm in winter but also the loft won't be as stuffy and hot during the summer.

Once felted and battened we fitted the new Jutland grey slates along with a dry grey matching ridge system along the top. The client had an issue with wasps so we had to remove a nest as well as treat the eaves with an insecticide and close off the access with a UPVC white trim.

Not to do half a job CBM also threw in a complimentary new guttering and downpipe system which we fitted all round prior to heading home.
