Your fascias, soffits and guttering are the parts along the edge of the roof that most people never think about, right up until water starts running down the wall or a board starts to sag. They cap off the roof timbers, keep rain moving away from the house and let the loft breathe. When they go, the damage can creep back into the roof itself, so it pays to sort them properly.

What the job involves
Fascia replacements
We strip out tired or rotten timber and old boards and fit new uPVC fascias fixed straight onto the rafter ends. That gives the bottom row of tiles a solid edge to sit on and stops water getting behind them.
Soffits and ventilation
The soffit is the board tucked under the fascia. We fit vented uPVC soffits so air can still move into the loft, which helps keep condensation and damp timber at bay.
New guttering and downpipes
A fresh run of uPVC gutter and downpipes, set at the right fall so water actually runs to the outlet instead of sitting and overflowing. Colour matched to the fascias.
Gutter repairs and realignment
If the guttering is basically sound we can reseal joints, swap a cracked section or reset the fall rather than replace the lot. Often the cheaper, more sensible fix.
Quality uPVC in your colour
White, black, grey, rosewood or a woodgrain finish, whatever suits the house. Low maintenance, so no more climbing up to repaint every few years.
Left clean and tidy
We take the old boards and guttering away, clear the beds and paths below and leave the front of the house looking neat before we go.

Why the roofline matters
The roofline does more than finish off the look of the house. The fascia holds the bottom row of tiles and gives the guttering something solid to fix to. The soffit keeps the rafter ends covered while letting the loft breathe. If any of that fails, rain finds its way into the timbers and you end up with a bigger, dearer job than a set of boards.
Signs it is worth a look include peeling or flaking paint on timber boards, boards that feel soft or look stained, gutters that overflow or sag, and birds or squirrels getting in at the eaves. If you spot any of those, it is worth sorting before winter rather than after.

Most homes are done in one to three days, depending on the size of the house and whether it is just the fascias, the guttering or the full roofline. We will give you a clear idea when we quote, and we work off proper access so it is done safely.
Yes. uPVC does not rot or need painting the way old timber boards do. A wipe down now and then keeps it looking fresh, and that is really the point of switching. It should sit happily for many years with next to no upkeep.
