Over time moss, algae and leaves build up on your roof and in your gutters. It looks tired, but the bigger problem is water. When moss holds damp against your tiles or a gutter blocks up, water sits where it should not and starts finding its way into the roof and walls. A good clean sorts that out and helps you catch small jobs before they turn into bigger roof repairs.
We clean roofs and clear moss by hand rather than blasting everything with a high-pressure jet washer. Jet washing can strip the surface off older tiles and force water under them, so we take the slower, gentler route that protects your roof. Hand de-moss and roof clean
We remove moss, algae and debris from your tiles by hand and with soft brushes, not aggressive jet washing that can damage the surface.
Gutter clearing and sweeping
We clear out leaves, moss and silt so rainwater runs freely down the gutters and downpipes instead of spilling down your walls.
Gutter repairs and refits
Sagging, leaking or cracked guttering gets fixed or replaced. We sort out joints, brackets and the fall so water goes where it should.
Downpipe and outlet checks
We check downpipes and outlets for blockages and make sure everything drains properly, not just the parts you can see from the ground.
Roof and roofline check
While we are up there we look over tiles, flashing, fascias and soffits and flag anything that needs roof repairs before it gets worse.

Why we clean by hand, not with a jet washer
A high-pressure jet washer looks quick, but on a roof it does more harm than good. The force can blow the protective coating off concrete tiles, crack older or brittle ones and drive water up under the laps where it soaks into the roof. You end up with a clean roof that leaks.
Cleaning by hand takes longer, but it lifts the moss and algae without wrecking the tiles. We treat the roof gently, clear the debris out of the gutters properly and leave the whole thing draining the way it should. It is the difference between a job that lasts and one that causes problems six months later.

For most homes once a year is enough, usually in autumn once the leaves are down. If you have a lot of trees nearby, or you have noticed water spilling over the edge, it is worth doing it more often to avoid damp and gutter repairs later on.
Yes. Once the gutters are clear we can fix leaking joints, refit brackets, correct the fall or replace sections that are past it. If a whole run needs doing we will quote for that, but often a straightforward repair is all it takes.
